hello-id-like-to-report-an-awkward-situationThe talk. It’s awkward. I get it. The teens don’t want to hear it and the parents don’t want to say it but it’s necessary to sit down and talk about safe sex. When I was 13 my mom locked me in the car and we had “the talk”. Even though at the time I didn’t want to talk to my mom about sex I am glad she did talk to me. It opened up a relationship with my mom that I didn’t have before hand. I would recommend for parents to have the talk as soon as puberty so around 13. Parents, even though we act like we don’t want to talk to you it’s important that you do and believe me we listen.
