Health Resource Center at Reading High School

The Health Resource Center at Reading High School is confidential, free, and teen-friendly!  It is a safe place for Reading High School students to get answers to questions about abstinence, sexual health, how to get birth control, STD/HIV testing, and more!


The Health Resource Center provides a private, confidential, easily-accessible place where youth can receive high-quality sexual and reproductive health counseling, education, and/or services from a trained professional.

Meet the Youth and Health Resource Center Coordinator: Genesis Santiago

Genesis Santiago (she/her) is the Youth & Health Resource Center Coordinator for Berks Teens. She is a graduate of Penn State Berks with a degree in applied psychology.

She also earned her associates degree in psychology from Harrisburg Area Community College where she helped develop a peer education program surrounding sexual assault, gender issues, and healthy relationships.

Genesis is originally from Bronx, New York but has lived all over the world including in Ireland and Puerto Rico. She is passionate about educating teens to make informed decisions.
